Pyeongchang is largely divided into the northern and southern regions. Popular tourist destinations in the northern region include ranches with vast grassland in Daegwallyeong-myeon (Yangtte (Sheep) Farm, Samyang Ranch, Sky Ranch, etc.), Barwangsan Mountain Tourist Cable Car, Woljeongsa Temple Fir Forest Trail in Odaesan National Park of Jinbu-myeon, and Lee Hyo-Seok Memorial Hall in Bongpyeong-myeon.

In the southern region, popular destinations include the Baengnyong Cave Ecology Center in Mitan-myeon, Cheongoksan Mountain Yookbaek Majigi boasting beautiful white Shasta daisies, Pyeongchang Stone Culture Experience Hall in Pyeongchang-eup, Pyeongchang Rock Park, and paragliding in Jangamsan Mountain.
